The shot blasting machine is an equipment used to reinforce, clean or polish any metal surface or metal. Shot blasting, also known as abrasive blasting, more commonly known as sandblasting. Historically, shot blasting is not a relatively modern concept, the first shot blasting machine in the world was patented (US patent 108,408.) by Benjamin Chew Tilghman (1821–1901),[1] an American soldier and inventor,[2] on October 18, 1870.[3]
Shot blasting is a technique in which a selected class of abrasive particles is used to remove material from a surface at a high speed (65 -110 m/s) corrosion rate. It is the operation of forcing the abrasive stream to the surface under high pressure to smooth the rough surface, roughen the smooth surface, and shape or remove surface contaminants. A pressurized fluid (usually compressed air), or a centrifugal wheel is used to propel the blast material (commonly referred to as the medium).

Shot blasting is a process that treats metals to remove rust, grease, scale, and other irregularities to create a smooth surface for applying a finishing surface. Methods

How Shot Blasting Machine Works?
During the working process of the shot blasting machine, the electrically controlled transport system conveys the object items into the shot blasting chamber, and its surfaces are hit and rubbed by powerful and dense steel shots from different coordinate directions. Working process

Our patented abrasive cleaner is applied for recycling shot/grit, which is to ensure high quality blasted surface and minimal abrasive shot. As the abrasive is so durable it is able to be recycled hundreds of times, resulting in an extremely low abrasive breakdown rate.
Critical to achieving this efficiency is the effectiveness of the abrasive recycling plant. Poorly designed or manufactured abrasive recycling systems will not correctly recycle the abrasive and are unable to maintain the correct abrasive working mix.
Our patented abrasive separator consists of an extended rotary separator drum that will totally remove all big clumps including big wast, scrap and paint chips etc. The abrasive is then fed through a gravity air wash separator where all dust, degraded abrasive and waste is drawn out of the good abrasive by an air current.
Only good, correctly sized abrasive is fed back to the abrasive storage hopper and blast pots for recycling.

Floor shot blaster is driven by the motor to produce centrifugal force and wind force in high-speed rotation. Operators need to input a certain particle size of shot material that the flow can be controlled. As soon as the shot material is fed into the pellet tube, it will be accelerated into the pellet wheel at high speed. Under the action of the centrifugal force, the shot material is thrown into the directional sleeve by the window of the dividing wheel, then it will be thrown through the directional window which can control the throwing direction of the projectile material. The high-speed rotating blade will pick them up and accelerates along the length direction of the blade until they are thrown out. The thrown projectiles can form a certain fan-shaped stream beam which can impact the working surface and play the role of clearing and strengthening.
The shot material, dust, and impurities go through the bounce chamber to the top of the hopper. The high-power duct collector can separate the pellet and dust through the separation device above the hopper with the pellet enters the hopper for cycling and the dust enters the dust collector through the connecting pipe. Our patented abrasive cleaner is applied for recycling shot/grit, which is to ensures high quality blasted surface and minimal abrasive shot. As the abrasive is so durable it is able to be recycled hundreds of times, resulting in an extremely low abrasive breakdown rate.
Critical to achieving this efficiency is the effectiveness of the abrasive recycling plant. Poorly designed or manufactured abrasive recycling systems will not correctly recycle the abrasive and are unable to maintain the correct abrasive working mix.
Our patented abrasive separator consists of an extended rotary separator drum that will totally remove all big clumps including big wast, scrap and paint chips etc. The abrasive is then fed through a gravity air wash separator where all dust, degraded abrasive and waste is drawn out of the good abrasive by an air current.
Only good, correctly sized abrasive is fed back to the abrasive storage hopper and blast pots for recycling.

Abrasive cleaning up system:
Abrasive cleaning up system consists of brush, screw conveyor, abrasive blowing fan and lifting mechanism. This system can remove the steel shot left on the plate after blasting.
The material of brush is high strength polyamide nylon, it has enough elasticity to sweep the 95% abrasive accumulated on the steel plate into the screw conveyor.
High-pressure abrasive blowing fan blows off un-collected steel shot on the plate to brush. In this way, the whole system recycles all the abrasive from the steel plate.
The lifting mechanism can automatically adjust the height of the brush, screw and abrasive blowing fan according to the thickness of the steel plate, to meet the needs of the customer.

Sandblast room recovery system use floor recovery system to reclaim the used blasting media and contaminants into the bucket elevator and then into the air wash cleaner system, and then the cleaned abrasive get into the storage hopper to recycle, the residual will get our of the recycle system from the separator.

Sweep/ shovel chute type is the most economical abrasive reclaim system, which is only appropriate for low production operations.
This is the simplest reclaim system, but need to push the abrasive into the recycle system manually after blasting work.
This blasting room recovery system almost no need foundation pit, no damage to the ground.
Single Screw or Scraper Partial Reclaim System
Single Screw or Scraper Partial Reclaim System
The most economical floor design is available. The system contains a screw conveyor or craper conveyor, heavy-duty screw belt and bucket elevator,air-wash separator, perforated plate rotary drum separator and oversized abrasive storage hopper with a caged man ladder and handrail. This can be expanded to an "H", "U", or full floor reclaim system, which is best suited for low to medium production levels.
"L"- Shaped Partial Reclaim System
Adds one longitudinal conveyor along one sidewall of the blast room allowing the abrasive delivered from the blasting nozzle, which is either blown or rebounded off the workpiece, to strike the side walls and fall into the conveyors, automatically reclaiming approximately 40-70 percent of the blast media. The reclaiming abrasive on the blast booth floor is pushed into the screw or scraper conveyors assemblies at the end of the work shift. The "L" shaped floor design is typically used in a “flow-through” room configuration where heavy workpieces and/or material handling devices can drive into the room. This is best suited for low to medium production.
"H" - Shaped Partial Reclaim System
Adds two longitudinal conveyors along each sidewall of the sandblast room allowing the abrasive delivered from the blasting nozzle, which is either blown or rebounded off the workpiece, to strike the side walls and fall into the conveyors, automatically reclaiming approximately 60-90 percent of the blast media. This is best suited for medium to high production.

Adds two longitudinal screw or scraper conveyors assemblies along each wall of the blast room and positions the cross screw or scraper conveyors along the back wall of the blast room. This allows the abrasive delivered from blasting nozzle, which is either blown or rebounded off the workpiece, to strike the sidewalls and back wall of the blast room and fall into the reclaim system, A “U”- shaped floor design will automatically reclaim 60-90 percent of the blast media. The remaining abrasive on the floor is pushed into the metered shed plate screw assemblies at the end of the work shift, The “U”-shaped floor design is typically used in an “in-out” room configuration where heavy workpieces and/or material handling devices can drive into the room. This is best suited for medium to high production

The full-floor reclaim system utilizes multiple screw assemblies or scraper assemblies to create a fully automatic, high volume abrasive reclaim system where 100% of the abrasive blast media is returned to the separator system during the blasting operation. This allows for a faster reclaim as well as full recycling of the abrasive media, saving your blasting operation both time and money.
The Full Floor Reclaim System allows for the maximum efficiency of your abrasive blast system. This abrasive blast reclaim system is well suited for pass-thru and/or high production requirements.
