The rangy Urban has taken a backseat on the publicity front to Laurant Duvernay Tardif, the McGill University offensive tackle who is also projected to be taken high.
Only 25 Canadians have ever been drafted into the NFL.
Urban, who was a two time Toronto Star all star in high school, grew up in Mississauga. His parents, Ann and Vic, run their own graphic design studio in Oakville.

In tyke hockey, at age 7, Urban was 5 feet tall and weighed 85 pounds. He scored 100 goals and added 100 assists that season.

This past season at Virginia, Urban started all eight games in which he appeared. He suffered an ankle injury, however, and missed four games. That injury led him to leave the Senior Bowl early this year and he missed taking part in the NFL Combine, where NFL scouts test players in various drills.
That injury may affect his draft status, but Urban feels he can still stick with an NFL team as a starter.
This past season, he used his reach to lead all NCAA defensive linemen with nine passes broken up despite missing those four games.
