    Which Are The Best Materials That Can Be Used For A Modular Kit
    Kitchen or the cooking place always remains the main functional part of any house. This area is focused importantly while renovating or designing a new kitchen. The concept of the modular kitchen has gained an immense popularity in recent days not only for its designs but it’s easy to install and uninstall. Kitchen is widely used for cooking purpose and, therefore, the arrangements in the area should be comfortable and handy. In, addition the cooking top and the platform should be easily washable and cleaned. The cooking space has different sections such as platform, cooking top, cabinets, drawers, etc. These all sections can be framed in same material or with the different materials as per the choice. There are options in the materials that can be opted for framing modular kitchen. Natural wood: Solid wood or the natural wood, both are same and is one of the good choices for modular kitchen design. Sheesham, teak, marindi, etc. are different types of wood can be used for the same purpose. Natural wood is advised to be used in modular kitchen cabinets.  The different types of wood have different colours, textures, and grains. This benefit provides traditional as well as modern look and cleaning surfaces made from such materials are easy. Though, it emits a rich look in all ways, its maintenance requires polishing. If subjected to moisture for a long time, it may destroy easily. If the wood chosen is not quality, then uneven surfaces can be the vision. Wood veneers: - A wooden veneer is comprised of layers of wooden sheets so naturally, it enhances the appearance. Polishing and staining on the wood veneers can be done to obtain the desired colours. Veneers are sustainable and have the quality of solid wood. It can provide a matte effect; high gloss and semi-gloss look and is suitable for kitchen slab. Sunlight exposure to this material fades the colour of the material and is not resistant to scratches. Laminates: - It is made up of the alternate sheets of the wood with plastic, paper, and resin. There are variants of plywood such as medium density fireboard (MDF), plywood, particle board, etc. high durability and resistance to moisture are qualities of this material and cost is favourable. It serves the best for the kitchen cabinets. It requires proper installation or, otherwise, it may result in peeling off the edges. It may emit some toxic gases. PVC: - It is made of plastic sheets and is available in various colours. Its toughness ranks it as one of the best material. The best point is that it is resistant to termites. Being waterproof, easy to install and maintain, inexpensive are the other qualities of it. This material is not resistant to the fore and the colour changes to yellow with the passing time. Stainless steel: - Stainless steel is preferred materials for the kitchen. They are sturdy and unaffected when subjected to heat and humidity. Durable and easily clean, this material is resistant to staining and corrosion. Widely, voted as cabinet door material. Limited variants of colour and dents make easy placement on it. Aluminum: - being the multitasked in skills, different styles are available in this material enhancing the kitchen’s look. It is cheap and adaptable to all the climates. Has durability, and resistance to rust, fire, and moisture. Dents and noises are bad friends of it. Acrylic: - It is the polymethyl methacrylate material. It provides the high gloss finish and gaining popularity in the market. It is available commercially as Crylux, Plexiglas, Lucite, etc. being non-toxic in nature; it gives maximum vision to space. Available in different colours, it is also resistant to scratches and moisture. It is expensive in comparison to laminar and dust can easily visible on it. Regular cleaning is compulsory and the edges should be taken care of.
