Solar eclipse 2024
A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon completely covers the sun, blocking it from view from parts of the earth. It is an event that can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the location. During a total solar eclipse, the sky darkens and the temperature drops, and the bright outermost layer of the sun’s atmosphere known as the corona is visible. The Great North American Eclipse will be the next total solar eclipse.
