The Hueytown community gathered one more time Tuesday night to remember Peyton Spain, 17, and Erin Spain, 15, both of whom died in a car crash earlier this month .

“I will remember how Peyton would always have a positive outlook wherever he went and whatever he did,” Hueytown senior soccer player Grant Robinson said. “It’s hard because you will always remember that he isn't there when the team comes together, but easier because the team grieves together and we have people to come to when we feel the sadness.”

Assistant softball coach Jennifer Sloan said that players will wear special armbands with the Spains’ jersey numbers on them throughout the rest of the season. The softball team also played a pivotal part of the Senior Night, working the gate and concessions stand.
