Marble
First-rate for its definitive elegance, imported marble flooring has been first choice since ancient times. It’s instantly identifiable because of its soft grain patterns and creamy colours that range from white to red, green, and black. Polished marble is greasy when wet and isn’t the best choice for kitchens and baths. Enhanced marble has more surface texture and is a good alternative, but doesn’t have the dynamic colour of polished marble. As Marble is one of nature’s softer rocks and susceptible to scratching and staining, so professional sealing after installation is suggested.
Travertine
Travertine flooring is permeable and responds rapidly to acidic substances, so even orange juice spilled may become reason of a stain. Regular application of a stone sealer helps protect travertine flooring.
Granite
Granite is an igneous rock designed under exciting pressure, making it one of the toughest flooring materials. It’s nearly impermeable to staining and scratching. It is available in many colours and is institute throughout the country — granite marble flooring may be less expensive as compared to others, due to lower shipping costs.
Limestone
Limestone is like a cousin of travertine, though it’s somewhat tougher and over period will stand up better to ordinary use. Limestone has outstanding grain patterns that, when expurgated into long, narrow tiles, resemble wood planks. Re-seal limestone flooring every few years to maintain protection.
