Google URL Shortener Feature to be Discontinued From April 13
Google has announced one week ago that its URL shortener feature is will discontinued from April 13. But existing users have nothing to worry as the services will be available to them until March 30th, 2019. After that, this services will not be working for them as well. But for new users, it will be completely closed. Though Google chat support services are not available, but no need to worry as the Google URL shortener links will continue to work till march next year and help users reach the console. With new technology to embark, Google URL shortener services are being turned down since coming weeks and replacing it with firebase dynamic links (FDL). These are smart URLs which help in sending users to a defined location through iOS, Android or web application. Google has recommended existing users to look for other URL shortening services rather than finding themselves in a cliffhanger at the last moment when the deadline is around the corner. It won’t be an easy task for users to shift to other alternates as this platform was quite trustworthy for them since the inception. Though there are fantastic options available to users in the form of bit.ly and tiny URL, users will take time to impose faith on them. What Demise of Google URL Shortener Actually Means? If you’re using Google URL shortener, then it might be really a shocking news for you. But nothing to worry. All your links will continue to work until the deadline date. Moreover, you can use this services until March 30th if signed into Google account. Many services launched by Google gets deactivated all of the sudden. But when one of those services gets discontinued, then its really painful and frustrating. But no need to do so as Google is propelling the users to experience the working of dynamic links. As it is currently being used in Google AdWords, stop mourning for the loss of shortener links as the Google is giving preference to the dynamic URLs. Is It A Wise Idea to Switch to Dynamic Links Instead of URL Shorteners? It’s that early to confirm that Google is actually forging ahead toward the implementation of dynamic links. FDL is actually owned by Google and is said to be the development platform for mobile and app creation. In order to create a restrictive application, the URL shortener just gets the job done in just a fine manner. Don’t just get confused with dynamic URL or links and look for the other alternates of URL shortener. In case, you find any troubles using the Google URL shortener application, being an existing user then opt for Google account live chat services from an autonomous organization.
