3 Mistakes to Avoid When You Are Planning To Visit Seattle in N

Are you planning to visit Seattle in your next vacation? Are you thinking about how you can plan your trip? Are you going with your friends or with your family? Are you well aware of the culture and tradition of the place? Have you booked the tickets? Have you selected accommodation? If all questions are coming in your mind and you are unable to solve it, trust me...calm down!! You are not alone who are facing this problem. When I was planning a trip to Seattle in the last year, I was also too confused and tensed about the trip. Though finally, our trip was mind blowing, you have made some mistakes.

Here, in the blog below, I will discuss the mistakes that you should avoid when you are travelling to Seattle. It is one of the most popular seaport cities in Washington, and millions of travellers around the world do love to visit this place. I was on vacation for 20 days in Washington, and in the meantime, we thought to visit Seattle and spend 1-2 days. Our experience was nice, but if we had not made these mistakes, the trip would be much better.

1. Planning at the last minute

I always plan for the trip at least 2-3 months before. But, during our vacation in Seattle, I just planned the trip only five days before. Everything was in a hurry as I was taking my three years old son with me. I had to plan everything according to him. The packing was huge, and also there was no fixed plan made. So, when you are planning to visit Seattle for your next vacation, please make a plan at least one month before. It will help to make it hassle-free and fun. You should also book your tickets and hotel rooms a month ago to make the process smooth. When you are packing your items for the vacation, you can keep your essential belongings and other items in the storage unit so that they remain in good condition as long you are out of town. You can keep your assets in the storage units in Seattle as they have highly effective security facilities for the customers.

2. Know about the events before you are going to Seattle

There are lots of festivals going on in this place. So, you should be well aware of all the events before you travel there. Last time when I visited there, some events were going on, and the market was filled with people everywhere. There was not a single piece of land left for normal strolling and walking. This made us irritated as we could not enjoy the place properly. So, when you are visiting the place, be sure that you know about all the upcoming events going on. If you want to avoid the crowd, you have to choose the time of the year that is free of events or festivals.

3. Don’t plan for short term holidays

You may think that Seattle can be explored in 1-2 days, but you are not right. This city has lots of things to offer to the tourists. If you are thinking to spend one day at Seattle and you can see all the things, then Seattle is not your cup of tea. At least keep 2-3 days in hand to explore this city. This city is having lots of markets, gardens, malls, landscapes and museums that you should surely visit during your stay.

Apart from this, you should choose the hotel in the city. I made a mistake in choosing a guest house in the suburbs. It was our wrong decision. So, better stay in the city. Hope this guide will help you to make your trip memorable.

Most of the people don’t have the actual idea regarding the scuba diving tank. We think it is full of oxygen that helps us to breathe comfortably underwater. Will you wonder if you get to know that your scuba diving cylinder is not fully comprised with oxygen at all? Yes, actually, in reality, a scuba diver’s tank is partially comprised of oxygen and that is not more than 21%. What is the reason for such a rule? Generally, we breathe in the natural air which is comprised of oxygen, nitrogen, CO2and some more gasses. Our natural air consists of approximately 21% of oxygen thus the experts have designed a standard scuba tank following it to provide better comfort while staying underwater for longer.   What is the key feature of a scuba diving tank? The major portion of a scuba tank is filled with nitrogen which almost contains 78% of the total, whereas the remaining portion is a mixture of carbon dioxide and some of the inert gasses like argon, neon and helium. So, you see, these are quite similar to the natural air. The basic difference is that the air inside a scuba diving tank is compressed. It allows you to breathe comfortably for a prescribed time period when you are floating underwater. Precisely, the compressed air filled inside a scuba diving tank is the key feature that allows a diver to stay underwater for longer and also you can move upward or downward quite comfortably. But you should consider the maximum capacity of your diving tank i.e. how long it will allow you to stay underwater.   How does our body react? Our body needs oxygen to perform the metabolic functions. So, a scuba cylinder cannot be filled up without oxygen. But remember, oxygen sometimes creates toxic effects on our body due to the higher level of pressure that you can feel during the underwater diving. It may affect your central nervous system, ocular function and the pulmonary function. On the other hand, nitrogen may cause a familiar health disorder – decompression sickness. It happens when your bloodstream absorbs nitrogen during the underwater diving specifically when you are heading to the surface of the water. So, when you are ascending to the surface, and you don’t provide the adequate time that nitrogen can be dissolved from the bloodstream, as the consequence, the formation of nitrogen bubbles in tissues and joints that may cause an extreme level of pain and thus required an extensive time to decompress.   There exist other options to fill your scuba diving tank to compensate for the additional pressure when you are planning for a long period of dive compared to a normal recreational diver. Nitrox is the most common alternative for this purpose. It is a specific combination of oxygen and nitrogen. Here, the oxygen level remains higher compared to the regular air normally remains between 32%-36%. Due to this particular ratio, your bloodstream absorbs more oxygen and less nitrogen. It reduces the chance to occur a severe decompression ailment due to the higher percentage of nitrogen.   Some added precautions: Remember; don’t mistakenly think that this advantage will allow you to ignore your pre-set dive table. A dive table is a universal system that decides for a diver how long he/she will be allowed to stay underwater and most importantly at what depth. Also, your dive table will tell you at what rate you need to ascend t avoid the decompression ailment. If you ignore the table, it can lead to the oxygen toxicity and that is not a smart alternative at all. You also need to ensure that your scuba tank is filled up with the appropriate mixture that is apt for your dive.   Not only the scuba diving tank, to float comfortably underwater, you need a perfect scuba mask that allows you breathe normally while diving for long.
