Beef or bust: using proper letter casing on social platforms

I tweeted this morning asking whether tweeting with proper casing (and grammar, too — why not) is cool or lame.

I wanted to bring the conversation to the forums and expand it a bit: do you think society should be 100% proper while posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc? I think brands should definitely maintain that standard, but what about humans? 인터넷바카라

When I first joined Twitter and for the first year or two, I was *very* careful to always post with 100% correct grammar and spelling and punctuation. Nowadays, the only time I really care is if I'm mobile, because you're forced to use capital letters at the beginning of sentences.

The housewife who was fined $46,000 for failing to provide safe working conditions for her Indonesian maids should serve as a wake-up call to employers of foreign domestic workers (FDWs). 인터넷카지노 The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has a set of rules for FDWs, including the type of work they are allowed to perform. These are essentially household and domestic chores. However, many employers blatantly violate these rules and get away with it, given the difficulty the MOM has in detecting such practices. 카지노사이트 For instance, it is common for FDWs to work in homes other than that stated in the work permit. Except for some FDWs who are brave enough to defend their rights, most are resigned to the opportunistic and exploitative actions of employers, who have a firm hold on them.   Hoping to eradicatethese malpractices by leaving it to the conscience of employers is wishful thinking. So is relying on the complaints of FDWs. 인터넷바카라 A possible solution is the imposition of heavy penalties on employers who are found guilty, so that they serve as a deterrent.

I am a social worker working with a voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) and I must confess I am one of the minority who do not wish for VWOs to be renamed as social service organisations (July 21). 카지노사이트주소 Those who know the sector treasure the proud heritage and volunteering spirit of our founders, something which I believe Singapore still lacks. 바카라사이트주소 I am not convinced that adopting a new name would change the perception of people who do not know the sector. They would already have their preconceived notions and bias. Changing the name would not be as effective as constant engagement with this "disconnected" group. Certainly, times have changed and so has the way VWOs carry out their mission. 안전놀이터 But let us not lose sight of where we have come from, as we progress to where we want to go in the helping profession. We are proud of our VWOs.

If the criterion for euthanasia is an elderly person's assessment of his suffering, and not the nature of his illness, then will we also allow the prescription of lethal drugs for healthy adults who feel they are suffering and opt for death? 카지노사이트  As a senior citizen, I am uneasy with letting doctors become involved in euthanasia. Even the most experienced doctor cannot predict with certainty how long a person battling serious illness will live, or when someone might fall into treatable depression. Arguments in favour of assisted dying for the elderly are rooted in the belief that the lives of the elderly are not worth as much as other people's. 온라인카지노 Such a stand devalues the elderly by giving them less protection from their suicidal desires than others.   The State acts as an impediment to euthanasia not out of archaic cultural conservatism but because it has a duty to protect all its citizens. Making elderly euthanasia accepted public policy threatens the lives of everyone - not just the elderly but also the poor, mentally ill, disabled and terminally ill. It opens the door for abuse. The elderly person may be pressured to end his life prematurely so that he can stop being a burden to his family, or because someone has something to gain, whether financially or emotionally, from his death. 온라인바카라 Already, elderly people who are not acutely ill are being dumped in nursing homes because their families consider them a burden. It is easy to envisage some families steering their elderly relatives towards euthanasia as a permanent solution. The conversation must move away from how to make suicide possible for elderly people, and towards how their lives have meaning instead.

The truth is no government policy or intervention in the world has been able to effectively eradicate the income gap in a capitalistic system.인터넷카지노 Even communist nations' "iron rice bowl" system has failed. A capitalistic system cannot continue forever, especially with mankind's runaway greed for wealth. The wasteful production and use of materials due to mankind's greed and demand for comfort will not last forever. 바카라사이트 Instead of fixing the income gap, Singapore should find solutions to reduce the cost of living - in my estimate, by about 25 per cent or so. This is a more realistic and workable solution if we know what the controllable and non-controllable costs in our situation are, as we have hardly any material resources and depend on imports for most of our needs. We must use all the means available to address the income gap. 인터넷바카라   There is no one solution or panacea that can address this issue effectively.

To attract more young hawkers to take over their family business, it would be helpful if they and their parents view this through the lens of family business succession planning and borrow some principles from there. 카지노사이트주소 Narratives about the family business, such as stories of famous people who may have eaten at their stall, or of how the family had managed to beat the odds and turn the business around, could be a great motivational tool. It would also help to build bonds and create a clear sense of purpose. 안전놀이터 The next generation of hawkers would also appreciate that they are carrying on a family tradition, built on specific values, and that this comes with both great responsibility and honour. There are faithful customers for whom savouring their hawker food has become a ritual, but this is entirely contingent upon these successors keeping alive their culinary traditions. 바카라사이트주소 Singapore's hawker food heritage is an inextricable part of the Singapore narrative. Indeed, it will be a sad day when we no longer have our favourite local fare to savour.

There is no doubt that the current issues with wild boars, mynahs and pigeons could possibly be aided by human feeding. 카지노사이트 However there is no need to enforce laws to ban all forms of such feeding just because there is a rise in human-wildlife encounters. Such sweeping legislation can be seen as discriminatory, as there are bound to be differing views. The definition of wild animals is too wide at the moment. As such, nature lovers with a hands-on approach towards helping wildlife will never see eye to eye with those who have a hands-off approach due to their differing beliefs. 온라인카지노 The best way forward is to identify and classify animals that are a nuisance, and have legislation directed solely towards them. It is also important that the law takes one's intention into account.   If feeding of all wild animals were to be banned, then it would be only right that all interference with wild animals be banned as well. 온라인바카라 For example, wild animals found with injuries caused by other animals in territorial disputes should not be helped. It would be a good approach to have a look at the wildlife legislation in other countries, and heed the advice of international naturalists before enforcing such legislation.

The question is not so much the choice of words that are used to describe it, but the core of what euthanasia is. 인터넷카지노 Is the content of an act to be valued based on only circumstances and the way the act is carried out, or does the act itself have an intrinsic, indisputable moral quality? Consider the case of suicide. If a man, in despair, chooses to jump out of the window, while another, also suffering from despair, pays a doctor to administer him a drug that takes away his life, could we say that paying the doctor to help him die is more justifiable? Why? 인터넷바카라 I think this question is fundamental, because when we empty an act of its intrinsic moral quality, and measure the goodness of it based on subjective experience (of oneself or others) and the techniques used to achieve it, there is no point of reference about right or wrong. It depends on those who have the power to decide or to impose it. Furthermore, it is a fallacy to assume that only the person himself can know what is best for him. Consider people who suffer from drug or alcohol addiction, depression, or even just excessive stress, just to name a few examples. 바카라사이트 Can family members and a humane society abstain from the responsibility of helping these people by weighing in on important decisions that can affect their lives, or do we leave them to themselves because personal experience alone justifies the kind of decisions they make? A person who is suffering is precisely the one who needs to be valued, supported and loved, not pushed to the fringes of death. The suggestions that the worthiness of human life is to be measured by the level of perceived subjective suffering, and that only the person himself can make the right decision for himself - which are what the writer proposes - is untenable for the betterment of the individual and the building of a compassionate and humane society.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) takes a serious view of such offences. 안전놀이터 We adopt a multi-pronged approach through deterrent laws, stringent border checks as well as inland enforcement. Over the years, the number of stray cats has declined significantly. 인터넷바카라 This is due to residents who have worked tirelessly to trap these cats for neutering. They are always on the lookout for newly abandoned cats and kittens, and they also speak to cat owners to advise them on neutering and keeping the animals indoors. 카지노사이트 Some of these residents have registered with the Cat Welfare Society so that they can help town councils mediate in cases where there are complaints about cats. Such unseen and unsung residents ought to be recognised for their community effort by the town councils. 인터넷카지노 All these residents ask for is that fellow residents be tolerant of the presence of cats, also called community cats, and that the town councils do not pander to a minority of complaining residents by culling these cats. As our little island gets rapidly concretised, such community cats add a softness to the harshness of our environment.

Is the "Apple slowing down older phones" a US thing? I ask because I have a 6s Plus, nearly 2 yrs old, and it does not seem slow to me. My kids use my old and battered 5s for games and YouTube, and while it is clearly slower than my 6s it is perfectly usable. Prior to this I used an old 4s, that to me remained perfectly fine until I upgraded. 인터넷바카라 Also, most of the people I know and work with have iPhones (a few even used a 3GS or whatever it was called, until about 6 months ago) and I have never heard any complaints of slow phones from them either. Yet forums and articles are full of slow iPhone stories. I hail from little Denmark, so I wonder if that’s anything to do with this discrepancy?

As a result of Jeff’s recent forum post on iMessage, I’ve been thinking a lot about iOS; more specifically, about its native applications. 인터넷카지노 My smartphone history consists of various different OSs and Phones [Palm Treo => iPhone 3G => Windows Phone(s) => Galaxy Note 5 => iPhone 7], so I’ve had a chance to try all of (what at the time was) the Big Three. In hindsight, my decision to leave any particular platform was fairly petty/short-sighted: I left Palm because I thought the iPhone was cooler I left the iPhone because I preferred Windows Phone’s (and/or Zune’s) design principles I left Windows Phone because I wanted Snapchat I left Android because of battery issues/how it managed background applications But there were only 2 reasons I switched back to an iPhone: Official battery case (a friend showed me his and I loved it) iMessage (a friend of mine is colorist AF and hates seeing green bubbles) 인터넷바카라 But aside from iMessage and the case, there is nothing that’s making me stick with iOS. I use a few of the other default apps (Phone, Weather, Clock, Photos, Camera, TestFlight*), but every platform has their own incarnation of those and I could survive without them. So my question to the forum is: what are the (other reasons) users stick with iOS? What applications do you prefer over the default iOS applications? And if you prefer certain iOS default apps, which ones and why are they better the competition offered in the App Store?

I'm usually not a fan of most of Apples products, but sometimes you have to take a step back and admire some of the results of the decisions they make. 카지노사이트주소 AirPods... Well IMO they look goofy as hell, and probably fall out of half the populations ears. However MKBHD said in his last video...more so proclaimed he sees them everywhere, and they are most likely the most popular wireless earbuds. Is he right? I don't know. Maybe. However, it is pretty easy to notice AirPods from any other BT earbud. They stand out.  Most earbuds are black little things nestled in your ears that don't stand out to a normal person in public. They all look alike. But...not AirPods. They are white little sticks coming out of your ears. They scream, "Notice Me." It is probably why they don't even come in a black colorway. 온라인바카라 I'm sure Apple did this on purpose, because guess what? Tech YouTubers saying they are the most popular thing ever, is just free advertising. It'sactually kind of genius. Me personally, I don't see them much over here in California. But I think many folks maybe too embarrassed to just wearing walking around, because they look crazy. But then again all BT headsets kind of do.
