Instagram is a leading social media platform at present. It has given fame and influencer badges to many creators and celebs. Moreover, Instagram updates keep on bringing new exciting features to the app.
One such feature is 'Instagram reels'- launched more than a year ago, and it's now one of the most important features of Instagram. They are 15-30 seconds video clips, and you can add music to them (optional).
Taking advantage of Tik- Tok in some countries, recently, Instagram became an opportunist and officially introduced the 'remix' feature in reels.
How to Use Instagram Reel Remix - New Reel Update:
Reel remixes help people create their versions of reels that already exist and show the existing original reel.
The Instagram reel remix feature is set to be enabled by default in all new reels created after the launch of this feature. This update is available for both Android and iOS.
Still, many users are facing issues in creating remixes.
Unlike the 'reels' feature, Instagram is not providing a different option for creating reel remixes at Instagram's camera.
Instead, if you are willing to create a remix, you can do it in the following easy steps:
- Go to the reels feed on your profile and find a reel you want to remix {with.
- See the lower right corner of your mobile, and you will find a three-dot option just below the 'share' icon.
- Tap on the three dots, and you will find an option as 'remix this reel.'
- Click on it, and Instagram's camera will open, and your screen will split into two parts (on the left side will be the original reel, and your reel will be recorded on the right).
- Now you can select any filter (optional) and start recording.
- Once done with it, you can add a different sound to it by clicking on the slider icon or do a voice-over by clicking on the microphone icon.
- You can post the remix reel or add it to your drafts.
P.S.- One thing to note is, some people disable the remix option for their reels; hence you can not make remixes with such reels.

Apart from Instagram's office features and updates, some other tools such as websites or apps also help you maintain your posts for Instagram. One such tool is 'Canva.'
You can create and schedule Instagram posts with Canva for a week or a month. This helps you save your time for other work as you do not have to worry about creating professional posts and keep them unique and aligned.
How to maintain
Instagram posts with Canva
The first thing you need to do is, download Canva from the playstore or visit their website.
You can use it for free, or if you want, you can also go for the pro version, where you can get access to more templates or filters (they provide you a 30 days free trial before purchasing it).
After downloading the app or visiting the website, sign up or log into your canva account.
- Choose for which purpose you are using canva.
- On the home page, select the option for 'Instagram post' under the social media section.
- Now select ''add a page" and then choose a template for it.
- Do it until you have enough template designs (8-10 or even more or less).
- Now, select all images and click on the copy icon at the upper corner of your screen.
- This time, you will have the double number of templates you have selected earlier ( repeat this step until you have templates for your chosen period. But starting with a weekly or monthly plan is the best).
- Edit the images and personalize them. Now you can download all images or a few of them at a time.
This way, you need not worry about your Instagram content's quality and work for it daily.
