Ladakh is a beautiful place in Jammu and Kashmir. It extends from the Kunlun mountain range to the Great Himalayas. The culture and history of this region is closely related to Tibet, since people inhabiting this area are mostly of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. The beauty of the mountains and the unique culture of Ladakh is what this region is known for. If you are planning a trip to Ladakh, you should definitely visit Zanskar Valley, Pangong Tso lake, Kargil, Khardung- La pass, Nubra Valley, Magnetic Hill, Spituk Gompa Monastery, Hemis National Park, Shanti Stupa and Hemis Monastery among others. If you are planning a trip to Ladakh with friends or family, and you do not know which means of communication will be most feasible, here I am to help you with your problem. You can either choose to book a cab or take a personal car, or take a flight to reach Leh. There is no station for Leh- Ladakh. The nearest station to Leh is Jammu Tawi, which is at a distance of 708 kms from Ladakh by road. If you chose to travel by flight, it will take you around an hour and a half to reach Leh from New Delhi. Leh is a military airport located in a stunning setting. Located at a very high altitude, the airport is small but quite efficient. Low cost airlines flying to Leh are Jet Airways, Vistara, GoAir, Air India and Spicejet. Other airlines flying to Leh include Indigo, and Jetkonnect. Flights to Leh land at the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. If you choose to go for a road trip or take a cab, it will take you around 3 and half days to reach your destination. Therefore, make sure you are energised enough for the journey and the halts in between at night for your stay during the journey since it eventually gets very tiring. But one thing that will keep you going if you travel by road is the beautiful view of mountains and the wavy roads. The sight is jaw-dropping! There are two routes that lead to Ladakh. One is Srinagar to Leh and the other is Manali to Leh. For the Srinagar to Leh route, the highway usually opens early May to late June. The route is Srinagar- Sonmarg- Zoji La- Drass- Kargil- Mulbek- Lamayuru- Saspol- Leh. For the Manali to Leh route, the best time to visit is from June to September. The route is Manali- Rohtang- Gramphu- Kokhsar- Keylong- Jispa- Darchu- Zingzingbar- Baralacha La- Bharatpur- Sarchu- Gata Loops- Nakee La- Lachulung La- Pang- Tanglang La- Gya- Upshi- Karu- Leh. The former covers a distance of 434 kilometres and the latter covers a distance of 490 kilometres. The best part about the road trip will be that you can halt anytime and anywhere to enjoy the scenic beauty! If you choose to travel by train, there are no direct trains or buses between New Delhi to Leh. Closest railway station is Jammu Tawi, located at a distance of 708 kms from Leh. Tickets can be booked with a PNR on IRCTC website easily.

There’s a few things to be concerned about when it comes to traveling anywhere with your pipes and bongs. First of all, if they’re glass especially, you need to be very mindful of jostling your bag around, and what other loose objects in there may potentially break your gear. There’s nothing worse than arriving to you friend’s house triumphantly, ready to pull out your bong, only to find a whole lot of shattered glass all over your bag. Not to mention, the smell of a used bong breaking in a bag and getting moisture and residue all over the place sounds awful. Pipes are generally a bit less worrisome because they’re less big and clunky. Bongs can have pretty complex designs which may have a few weak points here and there in the joints between different parts o the bong. A pipe of high quality at least is one chunk of glass that can be wrapped up tightly in a towel to reduce any chances of it being crushed. Cheaper pipes and bongs especially are to be monitored very closely when traveling, or you’ll see just how fragile that cheap glass is in no time. Whether you’re going on a little road trip or just going down the block to see your best buds, packing your pipes and bongs is a simple matter of forethought. You don’t need to crazy with bubble wrap or anything, but towels are your friend. When travelling with a bong, I have always sealed the openings shut with saran wrap so that my whole bag would not be infected by the scent, and then I wrapped the whole thing up tightly in a towel, then simply placed it at the top of my bag rather than beneath a bunch of other stuff. This has always worked for me, seeing as I’ve never once broken a bong accidentally by travelling. The process you use to wrap up your pipes and bongs is not so important as the mindfulness of knowing where they are in your bag, and being careful when moving around with it BonusesOnline.com.

Movies are often full of incredible scenery and fascinating destinations that make you want to get in an RV rental and travel to see if they look like that in real life. Oftentimes, we don’t even realize where these movies were filmed and it’s amazing to discover that some of these places are closer than you would think.   For example, these following 10 films were filmed in the U.S., but we bet you had no idea. Some of them may have scenes filmed in other locations, but for the most part, they had big scenes filmed in the U.S.   Check them out:   1.Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade   Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade may be a movie that caught our attention for its scenes in seemingly exotic places, but would you believe that much of the movie was filmed in Colorado? Colorado is a uniquely gorgeous part of the U.S. so it’s no surprise they would want to film there. While there were some scenes filmed in other countries, the Colorado parts do a good job of blending in with the storyline while providing viewers with fascinating landscapes and scenery.   2.Red Dawn   With an interesting storyline and captivating scenery, you would think that Red Dawn was filmed in some exotic location (even if it is set in Washington), but the truth is that it was filmed in Michigan. Mount Clemens is where much of the movie was filmed.   3. Escape from the Planet of the Apes   Could you have ever imagined that Escape from the Planet of the Apes was filmed in Michigan as well? It may seem odd to think of this iconic 1971 film being shot in the U.S., but for those who know Grand Haven well, you may recognize this particular location.   4. Star Wars Episodes IV and VI   It can be hard to pinpoint where scenes are filmed in the Star Wars movies since they do such an amazing job at making them look uniquely alien, but many scenes in the IV and VI Star Wars films were shot in Arizona.   5. The Strangers   You may not be so familiar with this movie if you aren’t a horror film fanatic, but The Strangers is a highly popular film that will scare anyone. While it doesn’t show much to base its location on just by observation, it’s interesting to find out that it was filmed in South Carolina.   6. The Conqueror   Back in 1956, most American films were filmed in the U.S., even if they were about Genghis Khan. If you are into older films and watched The Conqueror, you may be surprised to realize that the landscape you are saw is mainly Utah scenery.   7. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid   Don’t tell anyone and we won’t, but this movie that follows a storyline that is set in Bolivia was in fact filmed in Utah. If you have ever been to Utah, you may be able to recognize several remarkable landscapes in the film. Zion National Park is one such location that was used in the filming of this 1969 movie.   8.The Man Who Would Be King   While this film follows British officials in India who decide that they would rather be kings than military men, it has several scenes shot in Glen Canyon in Utah. It’s interesting to see how film masters can easily trick us with their expertise.   9. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End   You may be surprised to realize that Pirates of the Caribbean actually has many scenes that were shot in Utah-as you can see a very popular film location-at Bonneville Salt Flats. After all, this location makes for a remarkable backdrop for a couple of the film’s iconic scenes. It’s the kind of place that you may want to consider taking an RV rental on a road trip to.   10. Star Trek-The Final Frontier   Of course, the movie is about space, but it has some scenes that were supposed to depict Earth and while it isn’t surprising, many of these scenes were in fact shot in the U.S. and more specifically in and around L.A. The film makers must have not wanted to go very far to get the shots they needed and it looks like they didn’t have to with the end result being as spectacular as it is.   Are you ready to turn on your movie player and check out some of these movies to get inspired for an American road-trip in an RV rental? A movie-themed road trip will truly be an interesting one, especially if you visit some of the beautiful locations found in these above-mentioned films. Remember to put Utah on your itinerary—it seems to be a favorite destination for both film-makers and road trippers alike.
