The required materials   If you want  to create the DIY Acoustic panels  with a size of 2’X4’ for soundproofing, here are the rough estimate  for the materials: Fabric – cotton duck, or burlap – about 72 inches long and 60 inches wide. When using  Cotton Duck, you are better advised to go for fabric with patterns and/or designs. Mineral Fibre Insulation – about 2x 2’x4’x2” in dimension. Mineral Fibre: While using this product,  you should take precaution not to leave your eyes or skin exposed to and/or in contact with its dust. Wooden boards to make panels – 1 in. x 4 in. x 8 ft. approximate measurement Strip Board: Using this can give it a sturdy structure and at the same time add to the beauty of the piece we are creating.  Lumber standard wood for your purpose is ideal.     2. The required tools and equipment   Drill Drill bits Measuring tape Serrated blade or knife used to cut through tough surfaces. Wood glue Wood screws Staple gun Pencil Hooks or Z-clips     3. Assembling stage For assembling the acoustic panel, take the following steps.   4. Set up the panel If you want to make a 2’X4  acoustic panel, then cut the wooden boards to measure 2' for the top and bottom panels and 4' for the two side panels. You should use a measuring tape to get the size right. Now, put the cut-out pieces on a flat surface. Then, Drill holes on the top and bottom of the side pieces. Get the screws inside the holes and use some wood glue for added firmness.   5. Add the insulation There are two methods of adding insulation within the frame. The first method can be attaching small triangular wood pieces carved using the serrated blade at the four corners of the panel frame. This can hold the board in place. The second method is attaching the insulation against the panel using wood glue.   6. Cover the acoustic panel with fabric The final step in the process is to cover the panel with fabric. you can either choose to use a burlap fabric or a cotton duck material Now wrap the fabric around the entire piece tucking in extra edges. Use the staple gun so that the fabric doesn't come loose and also take care not to make any fold or wrinkle on the panel. Once all these are done, hang up the panels using hooks or Z-clips   In conclusion, it can be said that the steps above should help you build a reliable acoustic panel that will give you a less noisy and echo-free ambient.
